Getting Ready for Kindergarten Calendar
Research shows that the first five years of a child's life are extremely important in the development of life skills. Early experiences help shape brain development providing a healthy foundation for language, reasoning, problem-solving, social skills, behavior, emotional intelligence and self-managing.
The Getting Ready for Kindergarten Calendar gives parents a fun, engaging tool to use in nurturing this early development in their children. Supporting the idea of parents as a child's most important teacher, the Calendar provides fun daily activities for pre-schoolers ready to transition into kindergarten. It also offers resources from several healthy child development organizations including Healthy Children (from the American Academy of Pediatrics), The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and others.
The Calendar is available in English or Spanish; Calendar-year and School-year editions are also available.
