Each year, the City of Minneapolis Employment and Training and the Minneapolis Workforce Council present awards to agencies that have provided outstanding employment services to Minneapolis youth and adults.
This year, the City of Minneapolis gave Lifetrack the Adult Service Provider of the Year Award for our work in the Train-to-Career program.
CARF International announced that Lifetrack has been re-accredited for a period of three years for its Community Employment Services: Employment Supports and Job Development. This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards.
Minnesota leads the nation with the largest percentage of immigrants who are refugees or admitted through family reunification efforts. Unfortunately, immigrants and refugees often face multiple barriers on the road to self-sufficiency such as limited English proficiency, lack of employment history in their new homeland or transferable job skills that meet U.S. education and employer guidelines.
